From Clara:

This one is a personal dedication to my friend and fae sister Dreamspinner.
Her fiction is hardly less than amazing and I hope she will continue to
grace us with her talents.

When She Takes Your Hand
By
Clara "Euphoria" Gerl

She shines and shimmers
like beauty in the night
weaving imagination
into a light

that spins and shifts
and twists and folds
behind curtains of dreams
her legends unfold

which can take the place
of mortal pain
to rinse away
reality's stain

just become entranced
in a world she shares
forget mundane thoughts
your heavy mind wears

and to find yourself
in this dreamladen land
just dance in her circle
when she takes your hand

I have a special short story that goes out to a special weaver here we all
know well. Thanks to Dreamspinner for allowing her inspiration to
enlighten everyone on this list, as well as many others.

"The End Into The Light"
By
Clara "Euphoria" Gerl

The young woman was running, running away from the darkness that sought to devour her. Her rapid breathing increased even more, as did her footsteps. The essence of doubt was behind, she could not let it catch her but the more
she ran the closer she felt it tugging at her ankles, striving to drag her
down.

The darkness continued its chase and she continued to run. Then suddenly
she saw a light and ran to it. Its warmth reached out for her and she felt
the shadows coil back. Blinking her eyes she could not believe what they
revealed.

A beautiful fae sat on a patch of green grass staring at a crystal sphere.
It levitated an inch above her hand and she smiled as she looked upon it.
This held the woman’s attention, but not near as much when she gazed upon
the holder. Long, lustrous wings, that reflected the light around them,
began to spread out to enhance her form. Indeed it was beautiful and
radiated joy with a smile upon a fair face that the newcomer rivaled. Such
perfection, such beauty the curious one took a wary step forward in hope
not to frighten the fairy. In fact she did quite the opposite.

The fairy turned around and greeted her with a smile. She blinked again
and smiled in return, happy to know this was real. In a sweet voice her
lips began to welcome the lost one.

“I see that you have run far... Doubts making you fear things you do not
understand?”

“I do not understand why I have doubts and I fear that.”

“Most people never know.”

The woman sighed and nodded, “Yes, I am one of them.”

The fairy only offered a smile to her sigh, making the young woman moved a
bit closer. Her wings stretched out more letting the light reflect upon
her white body and face. Awe began to rise in the human yet she still came
closer, feeling serene as the same voice said, “I am Dreamspinner, a weaver
of many many looms. I am also called a wise one by many, and as a gift I
have something for you.”

“What is that?”

The crystal came closer to the woman and she did not move. Instead she
reached out for it and felt a strong sense of warmth flow throughout her
body. “Doubt makes you its prisoner. There are many things in life we
will never, ever understand. To be free of doubt you must respect that,
but to let the fear fade away you must have hope. I give you hope now, as
I give you a part of myself.”

She took the sphere and smiled and since that day, the darkness of doubt
never chased her again.
